Setting up your Aweber Account and List
If you don't already have an Aweber account go to https://www.aweber.com/login.htm to sign up. (Additional Fees Apply).
You can also refer to the video tutorials (more detailed) for setting this up under your account > my autoresponders > toggle instructions.
Once you are in your Aweber account go to Create a New List. (under manage lists tab).
Enter your company name, website, address, sender name & email > next step.
Enter List name and description. This is for you to identify your list and will only show to your leads if they unsubscribe. You many want to write something to entice your lead to not unsubscribe.
Confirm subscription, approve message and create list.
Under List Options tab go to List Settings. If you want to receive email notifications when you get a lead enter your name and email. If you are new we highly suggest this. If you are getting excessive amount of leads, you many choose to turn this off at one point. Make sure you add and save.
Integrating Your List in your MLSP Back Office
After you have created your list in Aweber, on the list settings page, under your list name you will see a unique ID. You will need to copy this and paste it into your MLSP back office.
After you have copied this, go to your MLSP back office under the account tab > my autoresponder > add new autoresponder. Enter your list name. You can name this whatever you like to identify your list. No one but yourself will see this. Then select Aweber from the drop down box and paste the Aweber unique ID for this list where shown > Add new.
Customizing your Aweber List
In your Aweber account, first make sure you are on the correct list name (if you just created one you should only see the default and the one you just created). Then select list settings under the list options tab.
You will see Basic Settings, Personalize Your List and Confirmation Message. The Basic settings you would have already set up in prior steps. Under personalize your list, the company name and email should already show. Here you can personalize your signature which allows you to add your signature to emails in one click instead of retyping them. And you can add a logo which enables you to add to your emails.
Under Social Media/Sharing, you can connect to your Twitter and Facebook profiles. This will allow you to share your broadcasts on these social sites. However this is not mandatory and does not have to be done right away to get started.
Under Global Snippets, this step you will want to come back to once you have uploaded the pre-written emails that MLSP provides.
Under Confirmation Message, this is where you would ask your leads to confirm their subscription before receiving your emails. This is a form of a double opt-in. By default this option is on and if you choose to keep the double optin, then you would want to fill in the subject, message, and Custom success page URL.
However many suggest turning this off as it may deter your leads and there's a chance the confirmation email could go to spam. If you choose to turn it off then select the button to turn it off. You will get a warning pop up that you can disregard if you are choosing this option.
Make sure you save your settings.
Loading Your Pre-Written Message
MLSP has supplied a pre-written series of followup emails that you can set up to send your leads out of the box. This is optional however highly recommended. You can customize these as well if you wish.
In your MLSP account under your account tab > my autoresponders > toggle instructions, scroll down and see underneath the 4th and last Aweber video, you'll see the campaign share code.
Copy this code then go over to your Aweber account, make sure you are on the correct list name, then under the messages tab, in the drop down click on follow up series. Click on the link "Go to Follow Up Sharing".
Copy the code into the pre-defined field then click on load up follow up series. This may take a few minutes to load.
After your messages are loaded up go back to your messages tab and follow up messages again and you should see a list of 16 messages (at the time of this article).
Completing the Global Fields to Personalize your links, Important!
In order for the links in this series of emails to be credited to you as an affiliate, is by entering your MLSP username in the global text snippets.
Go back to your "List options > list settings", make sure you are on the correct list name. Go to personalize list and scroll to the bottom of the page. Enter your name, you may want to just enter your first name as it's for a signature then enter your MLSP username and save settings.
We highly recommend that you test your messages to see what they look like and test the links within the email. If you click on one of your links your username should show up in the browser.
You also have the option to edit the email, ie add your personalized signature, logo etc, even content if you wish. However if new we recommend not changing the copy too much as these are written by an expert copywriter.
